1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Gidibox, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform.

2. Use of Service

You agree to use Gidibox only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Use the service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
• Transmit any malicious code or harmful content
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Engage in fraudulent activities

3. Account Registration

To use certain features, you must register for an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Ticket Purchases

When purchasing event tickets through GidiBox:

• All sales are subject to availability
• Prices are as displayed at the time of purchase, in Nigerian Naira
• A service fee may apply and is shown before you pay
• Payments are processed securely by our payment partner (Paystack)
• Refund policies are set by the event organizer, not GidiBox

5. Gidi Plans

Plans are real-life activities created and hosted by users. You understand that:

• GidiBox does not organize, supervise, or vouch for any plan or its host; you join and attend at your own discretion and risk
• A host may set a join fee. Paying the fee adds you to the plan and its group chat; the fee is collected on the host's behalf
• Once someone has paid to join, a plan can no longer be cancelled by the host
• You are responsible for your own conduct and safety when meeting people in person

6. Pageants & Voting

For contests and pageants on GidiBox:

• Votes may be free or paid, as set by the contest organizer
• Paid votes are final — votes are non-refundable once cast and confirmed
• Vote counts and results are shown as recorded by the platform

7. Wallet, Cashback & Payouts

GidiBox provides an in-app Naira wallet:

• You may earn cashback in Naira on eligible payments, at a rate we set and may change
• Hosts receive paid-plan join fees into their wallet balance
• Withdrawals require a verified identity (KYC) and a valid Nigerian bank account, and are subject to a minimum amount and processing time
• Organizer earnings from events and pageants are paid out separately during the weekly payout window
• We may withhold or reverse amounts linked to fraud, chargebacks, or policy violations

8. Event Organizer & Host Responsibilities

Organizers and hosts agree to:

• Provide accurate event, plan, or contest information
• Honor all tickets sold and commitments made through the platform
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Handle refunds according to their stated policies

9. Community Conduct

Rooms, chats, and messaging exist to help people connect. You must not harass, threaten, defraud, or send spam to other users. We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on GidiBox, including logos, text, graphics, and software, is the property of GidiBox or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

11. Limitation of Liability

GidiBox is a Sellbeta Ltd product. GidiBox shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including interactions with other users or attendance at any plan or event.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
